The Company

SEBA was founded in 1968 by Giancarlo Minarelli, who brought in family components along with some important, trusted collaborators. The company was originally created as a work protective gloves manufacturer and over the years has expanded its product range and its mission, becoming a supplier of global personal protection devices. The company’s activity is based these fundamental business rules: reliability, service efficiency and updated technological product development according to European and international norms. SEBA currently works on the national and international markets with a structure of approximately 25 employees in the Italian headquarters, 80 sales agents in Europe and over 400 employees in production factories abroad.
History

  • 1968
SEBA GUANTIFICIO is formed in a small, temporary building where Giancarlo and Franca Minarelli ( partners in life and work ) dedicated themselves to company development.
  • 1970
Construction of the new factory ( approx. 250 m2 ) connected to the first to enlarge production.
  • 1978
Transfer to a new building of approx. 2,000 m2 where work glove production and accident prevention article commerce were fused together. In 1989, the new company SEBA PROTEZIONE was formed, created with children Alberto and Morena, fully prepared to dedicate themselves fully as their parents have.

 

  • 2007

28 April 2007, the new headquarters was inaugurated: 20,000 m2 in an overall of which 7,500 m2 is covered. The logistics organised 5,000 pallet posts with reference management via a radio frequency barcode system. A computerised vertical warehouse was setup to maximise job dispatch times.

Quality

In order to guarantee a global service to its own customers that reflects the quality of the safety devices, SEBA has implemented a Quality Assurance System S.I.Q.S (SEBA Internal Quality System) with the aim to monitor and improve the technical, organizational and human elements, which characterize the relationships with its customers.

SEBA's corporate quality policy is based on: an efficient order fulfillment, transparency towards its own delear network and a maximum post-sales support to meet the technical needs and requests related to the use of SEBA products.

Research and Developement

SEBA shares its inclination for constant research in ergonomics, comfort and safety with its supplier network.
Research investments involve apparatus and internal technologies and, above all, the formation and benefits of human resources.
These allow SEBA to continue to offer innovative solutions for safety devices and for articles designed for worker use.
